Volunticipate - volunteer work for community building across Europe
The goal of the “Volunticipate- community building through voluntary work across Europe” project is to build partner relationships between Roma and jewish youth organizations, to enable the exchange of experience and knowledge of the leaders of these organizations and to facilitate their international co-operation. The central element of the project is an international meeting between 1-7th August, in Bánk, Hungary. During the one-week meeting our aim is to build partnerships, to get to know each other’s work, with special regard to the role of volunteer work within community building and organizational development. During the meeting the participants are provided with professional help in order to plan future common projects, events. The Volunticipate project is planned adjacent in time and place to the big-scale volunteer event of Marom Budapest: the Bánkitó festival between 4-7th August 2011.
